JANUARY 31 – The only Association which members are the operators of the most innovative teleports in the world, names a Mexican corporation among 20 most important in 2012. Last December, The World Teleport Association (WTA) published its annual ranking of the Top Teleport Operators of 2012, 012, wherein Elara Comunicaciones, S.A. de C.V. ranked among the “Fast Twenty-one” as the second teleport with a highest and fastest growth, based on its revenue in the most recent fiscal years.
The ranking, published each year by the WTA provides a unique insight into the diverse teleport sector of the global communications industry. For the second year in a row, teleport operators reported their total spending on satellite capacity; the top independent operators spent US$830 million on satellite capacity, which represented 40% on average of their annual revenues.
Elara Comunicaciones also ranked 19th among the “Independent Top Twenty”, a ranking that is based on revenue from all company’s sources. It is also worth highlighting that Independent Operators are companies which do not own or operate satellites.
It is worth mentioning that Elara Comunicaciones is the only teleport in Mexico and Latin-America in WTA’s 2012 ranking, which shows the trust given by its clients, for without them it could not be positioned in this way, as well as the great work and effort developed by the company during the previous years in order to grow and position itself as the leading provider of innovative telecommunication services adapted to the needs of each one of its clients.
