Hundreds of Lockheed Martin and United Launch Alliance employees, retirees and their relatives, participated as volunteers to deliver Christmas presents to families throughout the Denver metropolitan area.
In Operation Santa Clause, volunteers wrap the gifts and load up their cars to deliver food and toys to families in need. The tradition was started by a group of Martin Marietta employees in 1958. They were the first who raised money to help 15 families in the surrounding communities.
Now the event has expanded to serve 270 families, including military families from the Buckley Air Force Base, allowing the companies and its employees an opportunity to connect and give back to the community.
