[Satellite TODAY 12-14-12] The U.S. Army has placed a delivery order for TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) Secret Internet Protocol Router and Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Access Point or SNAP 1.2M Lite Very Small Aperture Terminal or Vsat satellite systems and Impact Tactical baseband equipment, TCS announced Dec. 14. 

If all options are exercised, the value of the order totals approximately $25 million. The majority of the initial delivery order award equipment will be delivered by the end of Q1 2013. As a part of the Small Form Factor or SFF Company Command Post or CoCP Terminals, these SNAP Vsat and Impact Tactical systems will be fielded.
These procurements are being funded by the U.S. Army Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network – Tactical (PM WIN-T) Commercial Satellite Terminal Program through the Army’s $5 billion World-Wide Satellite Systems (WWSS) contract vehicle.
