ManSat‘s CEO Chris Stott has been invited to join the advisory board of the new exhibition at the National Electronics Museum in Maryland titled "Satellites Transform our Lives." The exhibition, also refered to as the satellite gallery will be a permanent exhibition at the museum with the objective of educating visitors on the history of satellites and the technology they use.

In the past 37 years that started wit the launch of the Sputnik 1 satellite, the industry has continued innovating at a very fast pace. The technology advances in the satellite industry have had a large impact in the way humans live and communicate, but since end users are not directly involved with satellites, it is often overlooked. The exhibition also seeks to breach this gap and bring users and the satellite industry closer together.

As member of the board, Stott will advise on the creation of the exhibition and on integrating it to the educational program in order to promote awareness of the industry among visitors and possibly guide top students to consider working in the satellite field.

The satellite gallery is expected to be open to the public in March 2013.
