Cisco Delivers HD Video Service to Middle East via Yahsat

Cisco plans to work with Al Yah Satellite Communications Company (Yahsat) to deliver Cisco TelePresence VX Tactical (VX Tactical) HD video services to Middle Eastern government entities, emergency response and other fieldwork industries.

The VX Tactical is one of the first HD video services to be made available to the Middle East and Cisco claims it offers a lifelike and natural video experience, aiming to deliver the feeling that people miles apart are in the same room.

Measat Inks Middle East, Asia HD Distribution Deal with GlobeCast

Measat Satellite Systems has signed an agreement with GlobeCast to distribute ITV Granada in HD across Asia and the Middle East via the Measat-3 satellite.

Measat-3 is co-located at the 91.5 degrees East orbital slot with the Measat-3a satellite.
