Commercial satellite service provider Intelsat has been reported to be working on a deal with shopping malls operator and owner Macerich to base its U.S. offices headquarters at the upcoming Tysons Tower in McLean, VA.

Intelsat has been considering new locations after selling its Washington, D.C. building for $85 million. The company has been leasing the building to hold its approximately 450 employees while engaging with local governments near the country’s capital interested in facilitating a deal.

The company had conversations with Carr Properties for an office project in Bethesda, MD, working with Montgomery County officials to try to attract Intelsat to the neighborhood. However, officials from Carr Properties said no deal have bee reached and confirmed suspicions of Intelsat’s apparent deal with Macerich.
