Thomson’s ViBE VS7000 OTT encoder is designed to stream high-quality video content to a range of devices including smartphones, tablets, PCs, set-top boxes and IP connected TVs using a multi-profile encoding technology. The combination of the ViBE VS7000’s transcoding performance with ViaMotion’s packaging and streaming capabilities in the OTT delivery infrastructure aims to allow for time-shifting and on-demand features to now be accessed on any screen. Using start-over TV, live shows are also planned to be made available online for on-demand access within seconds.
