Malaysia, Air India Select Thales IFE
Malaysia and Air India Airlines each recently launched revenue service of passenger aircraft equipped with the Thales in-flight entertainment (IFE) system.
Malaysia Airlines has entered into service its first of six Airbus A380 aircraft equipped with the Thales IFE.
“The A380 is our new flagship aircraft and we are pleased to be working closely with Thales on this exceptional program which complements our latest products and services offering to guests,” said Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, Group Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Airlines.
Air India
Air India recently started flying the first of its 27 new Boeing 787s equipped with the Thales IFE on passenger flights.
“Our airline is very excited about adding a fleet of B787 to our operation. It is a very special aircraft that we know will generate exceptional passenger appreciation. The Thales IFE system adds to the greatness of this aircraft and we know Thales will be there to support us as they do today on many other aircraft,” said K.M. Unni, head of MRO at Air India.
Air India currently has 20 Boeing 777s, 4 747s and 42 Airbus A320s equipped with Thales IFE systems.
