GlobeCast Australia, Optus TV Name New CEO After Lattin Retires
GlobeCast Australia CEO Mike Lattin has retired, but will continue with the company in an advisory role.
Simon Farnsworth has been named to the CEO role, effective immediately. Farnsworth previously served as global director of the GlobeCast Group’s broadcast contribution services.
Lattin held senior management and programming roles at each of Australia’s commercial TV networks and was head of the Optus Television subscription TV platform. In 2001 he became a director and CEO of MediaSat, which later merged with GlobeCast Australia in 2003.
Hawaii Pacific Teleport Hires Retired Army Officer to Strengthen Government Business
Satellite communications and connectivity firm Hawaii Pacific Teleport (HPT) has hired U.S. Army Maj. Darryl Stewart (ret.) as its managing partner and vice president of government operations.
Stewart has 26 years of experience working with telecommunications and commercial satellite networks at the U.S. Department of Defense, having served more than 21 years on active duty in the Army Signal Corps. He previously served as director of integrated logistics and field operations at Rockwell Collins.
HPT said the company would utilize his experience in network operations, logistic solutions and field support operations to expand HPT’s capabilities, catering specifically to government requirements.
Xytech Promotes Dolan to COO
Broadcast and media services provider Xytech has promoted executive vice president Greg Dolan to the position of COO.
He had served as executive vice president of the company since 2009. Xytech president and CEO Richard Gallagher said the new title acknowledges Dolan’s expanded responsibilities, and reflects Xytech’s need to structurally accommodate a dynamic expansion in its market sector.
