Ateme and STI Telecom have successfully delivered and installed an HD-SAT turnkey satellite distribution platform for Brazilian broadcaster TV Record in São Paulo, the companies announced.
The fully redundant satellite uplink system, integrated by STI Telecom and designed to include Ateme Kyrion encoders and decoders, is broadcasting TV Record´s HD free-to-air channel to Brazilian households via Star One’s C2 Satellite.
Ateme Director of Sales for Latin America Raul Rivera said the project was the first of many by TV Record to accelerate the expansion of its HD TV service to all Brazilian states and cities.
“This is the first commercial deployment of HD-SAT for TV Record, and it is really exciting for us to participate in bringing pristine high-definition quality content free to air to rural communities,” Rivera said in a statement. “Undertaking such project would not have been possible without the expertise and support of our partner STI Telecom, a true extension of our engineering team.”
