DigitalGlobe Names Tarr President and CEO

Imagery solutions provider DigitalGlobe appointed Jeffrey Tarr President and CEO, succeeding Jill Smith. Tarr previously served as president and COO of IHS Inc.

DigitalGlobe also named board member and former U.S. Air Force Gen. (ret.) Howell Estes non-executive chairman. Estes served as commander-in-chief of the North American Aerospace Defense Command and the U.S. Space Command until retiring in 1998.

O3b Appoints Collar CEO

O3b Networks appointed Steve Collar CEO, replacing Mark Rigolle, who returns to SES after securing O3b’s latest $1.2 billion in financing.

Collar joins O3b from SES World Skies, where he served as senior vice president of business and market development. Collar oversaw long-range strategic planning activities and was instrumental in the operator’s investment in O3b Networks.
