Furuno Rolls Out VSAT Antenna on maritime Network
Maritime communication and navigation systems Furuno has partnered with SpeedCast and Eutelsat to launch the VSAT KU-100 atenna.
Furuno has been developing the partnership for three years to launch the Ku-band antenna on SpeedCast and Eutelsat’s global satellite network. SpeedCast and Eutelsat also have linked 15 Ku-band satellite beams into an integrated, global coverage network to support Furuno’s SafeComNet service that uses automatic beam switching to deliver connectivity across multiple satellite footprints.
Glowlink adds Single-Satellite Interference location tool
Glowlink enhanced its geolocation products to include the capability to locate satellite interference emitters using a single satellite.
The capability is intended to eliminate end user’s dependency on adjacent satellites in order to locate interference and will be made available to Glowlink’s proprietary account customers.
Thales Alenia Space, Zodiac Develop Interference, Monitoring Solution
Thales Alenia Space and Zodiac Data Systems have partnered to develop satellite transmission monitoring and interference protection solutions.
The companies will combine technical and commercial efforts to offer turnkey solutions to frequency allocation agencies and intelligence agencies, which combine equipment needed for carrier monitoring, traffic analysis and transmitter geolocation.
The solution would include payload traffic manager, in-orbit testing, communication system monitoring and a telecom carrier analyzer. Zodiac Data Systems will provide hardware solutions for high-resolution digital acquisition and embedding using its compact geolocation system.
