Xtar Curtin Retires; Harlow becomes President, coo

CapRock CTO Philip Harlow left the company to join Xtar LLC as president and COO. Harlow will be responsible for the growth and strategic direction of Xtar’s global business, overseeing the management, marketing and technical aspects of the company.

Harlow replaces Denis Curtin, who is retiring but will serve in an advisory role at Xtar during Harlow’s transition and as a member of Xtar’s board.
 

Fox Sports Hires Directv 3-D Executive

Eric Shanks, former executive vice president of entertainment of DirecTV, has been appointed president of Fox Sports.

Shanks played a key role in DirecTV’s 3-D TV strategy and will become the third president of Fox Sports since its inception in December 1993.
