SSPI Timeline: 2006 – Arqiva BT
November 17, 2006: Arqiva, a British provider of satellite and terrestrial communications services, announced that it would acquire the Satellite Broadcast Services business of BT for 25 million pounds in cash, including long-term customer contracts, 6 teleports and personnel in the USA, France, Italy and the Netherlands. The deal marked BT’s exit from the satellite business and the first international expansion of the private-equity-owned Arqiva
