Globalstar has appointed Peter Dalton CEO, the company announced. Former Globalstar CEO Jay Monroe will serve as the company’s executive chairman.
    Globalstar COO Thomas Colby is leaving the company, effective immediately. His duties will be taken over by Dalton.
    Dalton has been a director and chair of Globalstar’s audit committee since 2004. He also has been CEO of his own turnaround management firm, Dalton Partners, since January 1989. Dalton previously served as president of the Society of Private and Commercial Earth Stations, the satellite TV industry trade association.
    Separately, Globalstar’s board has elected William Hasler as director, filling the vacancy left by Dalton. Hasler is a director of DiTech Networks Corp., Harris Stratex Networks, Mission West Properties and the Schwab Funds.
