[Satellite Today – 3-24-08] Kudelski Group will upgrade the conditional access system for France’s Canal+ Group, Kudelski announced June 23.
    Under the deal, Canal+ will replace the smart cards for more than 3 million subscribers to its Canal+ Le Bouquet and Canalsat services with Kudelski’s Nagravision conditional access system.
    “Even though the current security level fully satisfies us, we want to implement all updates and new releases our partner is proposing to us,” Jo Guegan, deputy chief technical and information officer, Canal+ Group, said in a statement. “We look forward to continue working with a company such as Nagravision that offers optimal protection for our contents, representing a guarantee of reliability towards the rights owners who trust us, and which allows us to continue offering the best programs to our subscribers.”
