[08/24/07 – Satellite Today] Thrane & Thrane had revenues of 251.4 million Danish krone ($45.8 million) in its most recent quarter, a nearly 30 percent increase compared to thesame period a year ago, the company announced Aug. 24.

The company, a manufacturer of equipment and systems for global mobile communication, also saw a nearly 30 percent increase operating profits to 17.5 million krone ($3.2 million) in the quarter, which closed at the end of July.

Thrane & Thrane had a particularly strong performance in the maritime market, where revenue improved 27 percent to 161.7 million krone ($29.5 million).
Satellite communication equipment revenues were 115 million krone ($21 million), a strong increase primarily attributable to the acquisition of Nera SatCom.
