Humax will manufacture set-top boxes for Turkish broadcaster DoÄŸan TV for use with the operator’s pay-as-you-go satellite TV service, Humax announced July 16.

Humax will supply 500,000 set-top boxes to DoÄŸan, one of Turkey’s largest broadcasters, for use with D-Smart, which was launched in January. The service is available to more than 17 million households in Turkey, with approximately 100,000 households using the service.

The market for satellite pay-TV services in Turkey is dominated by Digiturk, which has over 1.1 million subscribers.
