Thrane & Thrane has licensed HelloSoft’s voice-over-Internet protocol (VOIP) technologies for its next-generation Explorer handset, HelloSoft announced July 10.

HelloSoft provides software that enables VOIP on mobile handsets without having to change the design of the hardware.
