Asia Satellite Telecommunications Co. Ltd. (AsiaSat) and Indian broadcast services provider and systems integrator Indiasign Pvt. Ltd. signed an agreement to jointly launch a C-band platform on AsiaSat 2, the companies announced June 27.

The platform will be operated by Indiasign’s teleport in New Delhi and will provide uplink and distribution services to Indian broadcasters for distributing television and radio services to cable and satellite networks, terrestrial stations, hotels and individual home viewers across Asia and Australasia.
