Eutelsat Communications and Digiturk have signed a contract for capacity on the W3A satellite to support expansion of a pay-TV platform in Turkey, Eutelsat announced June 20.

The four-year agreement marks the third signed between Eutelsat and Digiturk since Nov. 2006, and brings to 11 the number of transponders leased for broadcasting services by Digiturk on Eutelsat’s satellites.

Digiturk is also planning HDTV and video-on-demand services for later this year through its capacity on W3A.
