The China National Space Administration is planning a September launch of a third Earth resources satellite jointly developed by China and Brazil, Xinhua has reported.

The state-run newspaper quoted the administration’s director, Sun Laiyan, as saying “Satellite 02B” would soon be moved into a space environment simulator for testing.

China and Brazil have cooperated on space projects for 19 years. The first two satellites jointly developed by the countries were launched in 1999 and 2003, respectively.
