Globalstar Inc. announced June 14 that Megan Fitzgerald, senior vice president for strategic initiatives and space operations, would resign from the mobile satellite voice and data services provider effective Aug. 17.

Fitzgerald, who is responsible for satellite production, satellite launches, operations and maintenance of the satellites and operations control center, was expected to remain with the company through the company’s second 2007 launch of four replacements satellites later this summer.

Tony Navarra, Globalstar’s president of global operations, will assume Fitzgerald’s responsibilities on an interim basis, the company said.
