Kiyoshi Isozaki, CEO of JSAT Corp., has found that operating conditions tough in Asia and, the operator does not expect to see a huge upsurge in demand for capacity.

"We are facing price competition in the region and do not foresee remarkable expansion of demand for satellite capacity,” he said.

JSAT is preparing for the launch of the Horizons-2 satellite in the second half of 2007. The spacecraft was procured by Horizons-2 Satellite LLC, a joint venture between JSAT and Intelsat.
