Thales reported a revenue increase of nearly 7 percent in the 2007 first quarter to 2.2 billion euros ($3 billion), the company announced May 15.

The majority of revenues were generated by the defense business, which contributed more than 1 billion euros ($1.4 million) in the quarter.
