Citing profits from its latest mobile satellite services products, Inmarsat Holdings Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Inmarsat, reported a 16 percent increase in first-quarter revenues for the period ending March 31 compared to the same period of 2006.

For the first quarter 2007, Inmarsat announced that total revenue was up $140.8 million, with profits before tax totaling $38.3 million. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization were up 24 percent from 2006, to $99.6 million on revenue of $140.8 million in the three months to March 31.

The company added that BGAN revenue reached $7.1 million in the first quarter.
