[5/11/07] Space Systems/Loral will manufacture the NSS-12 spacecraft for SES New Skies, SS/L’s first contract from the satellite operator, SS/L announced May 10.

NSS-12 will carry C- and Ku-band transponders and be located at 57° East to provide services in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India and other parts of Asia.

The spacecraft is scheduled to be completed in 2009.
