Integral Systems Inc. cited decreased shipments in its space communications systems segment, along with increased bid and proposal costs and legal costs associated with a previously disclosed investigation by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, for a decrease in revenues for the second quarter for 2007, the company announced May 10.

Revenues for the quarter were $29 million, down $3.1 million from the same period in 2006. Net income was $2.1 million, compared to $3.5 million for the same quarter in 2006.

"Our bookings continue to be strong with $38 million in new business booked in the quarter,” Pete Gaffney, Integral’s CEO, said in a statement.

"Our total bookings for the year stand at $82 million and our backlog on March 31 was $272 million, our highest ever. Based on these results and our expectations for the [second half of the year], we are on track to meet our full year guidance as revised last quarter.”
