Iridium Satellite LLC reported 2007 first quarter revenue of $52.7 million and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $13.6 million, the company announced May 9.

Iridium did not reveal whether it posted a profit or a loss.

At the end of the first quarter, which closed March 31, Iridium reported 183,000 subscribers, up from 148,000 at the end of the 2006 first quarter.

“Our first quarter performance puts the company on a pace to exceed our revenue and EBITDA targets for the year,” Matt Desch, Iridium’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “Accordingly, we continue to be in a comfortable position to both self-fund and attract capital for the development of our next-generation constellation, Iridium Next.”
