Industry Canada granted an application April 30 by TMI Communications and Co. Ltd. to transfer its 2-gigahertz mobile satellite service approval to TerreStar Networks (Canada) Inc., which is owned by TerreStar Networks Inc. and TMI.

The transfer allows TerreStar Canada to launch and operate a satellite at 111.1° West in order to provide mobile satellite services in Canada.
