[4/26/07] Iridium Satellite is offering a new North American pricing plan that will bring the cost of its satellite telephone service to the range of 30 cents to 40 cents per minute, the company announced April 25. Iridium also is offering larger "super discount" packages with prices less than 15 cents per minute.

The offer comes two weeks after rival Globalstar Inc. announced its “Unlimited Loyalty” plan, providing U.S. customers with plans that provide unlimited satellite voice minutes for calls in North America and the Caribbean.
