SpaceDev has been awarded a Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) contract in response to the Operationally Responsive Space Payload Technology broad agency announcement, SpaceDev announced March 27.

The award is for the preliminary design of the integrated Combined Optical, Radio, Radar Instrument (CORRI), designed to provide three independent capabilities (high-resolution imagery, high-gain broadband up/downlink, and sensitive proximity radar) for a small satellite payload application.
