ViaSat Inc. delivered a Ku-band satellite communications antenna kit to the U.S. Air Force that will be used on C-130 aircraft, the company announced March 16.

The antenna enables use of an airborne system to access U.S. Department of Defense communications networks at data rates up to 10 megabits per second inbound and 512 kilobits per second outbound while airborne.

Separately, ViaSat has certified End II End’s Optimal technology for interoperability with ViaSat products such as Linkstar, Linkway, Skylinx and Starwire, End II End announced March 19.
