The U.S. Army is seeking more cooperation with international partners, Col. Patrick Rayermann, chief of the Army’s Space and Missile Defense Division, said March 7.
 
"We do want to continue international cooperation,” Rayermann said at MilSpace 2007 in Brussels. “We want to work with industry that is not U.S.-based. We need your help. We need future innovations in terms of technology refresh,” he said, adding that that space technologies could bring much to the table in terms of modern warfare.

Rayermann noted, “for the vast majority of people in the army, space is still ‘out there.’”
