Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) has completed satellite support operations for U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) program, the company announced Feb. 13.

SS/L manufactured the GOES I through M spacecraft under contract to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The satellites, launched between 1994 and 2001, have collectively outperformed their life expectancy by more than 55 percent, with GOES L and M still providing meteorological services.
