Entertainment news and picture agency Splash News and Picture has chosen Mainstream Data’s MediasFTP service to deliver the agency’s content worldwide, Mainstream Data announced Jan. 29.

Splash News provides its subscribers with an estimated 1,200 high-quality photographs per day. As an element of its turnkey service to Splash News, Mainstream provides a custom Web application that facilitates the collection of photographs from the agency’s photographers around the world. Using this application, they can upload time-critical photographs directly to Mainstream’s distribution system for immediate delivery to end-user sites.
