Stratos Global Corp. has signed a strategic alliance agreement with Seamobile Enterprises to deliver GSM and CDMA wireless voice and data to the U.S. government and military markets, Stratos announced Nov. 16.

Under the agreement, the two companies will develop system to enable wireless users at sea or in remote locations to use of personal cell phones.

"Our sophisticated solution allows virtually anyone aboard a vessel at sea or in a hard-to-reach location to use voice and data services using their own mobile phone or PDA," William Marks, Seamobile’s CEO, said in a statement. "As digital applications continue to expand, our technology will allow us to develop customized and branded applications to ensure that our customers have access to the most advanced communications technology available."
