Hughes Electronics Corp. [GMH] named three new corporate vice presidents. Pat Doyle was promoted to corporate vice president for finance and acting treasurer. He joined the company in 1992 as director of taxes, was promoted to vice president for taxes in 1996 and was given additional responsibility for corporate development the next year.

Mike Gaines was promoted to corporate vice president for finance. He joined the company in 1991 as an accountant, was named director of accounting in 1994 and was promoted in 1997 to oversight of corporate financial accounting and planning functions.

Ken Heintz is rejoining Hughes Electronics as the corporate vice president responsible for the day-to-day merger and acquisition functions. He had been chief financial officer of Hughes’s majority-owned subsidiary PanAmSat [SPOT] since 1997. Heintz joined Hughes in 1994 after a 27-year career at an international accounting firm.
