Bavarian media authority Bayerische Landeszentrale fur neue Medien (BLM) has licenced a range of thematic pay-TV channels for nationwide satellite transmission over a period of eight years. Fox Kids will launch a tailored German-language channel on the digital Premiere World platform this autumn. TS Technology & Science Channel, owned by German media company H5B5 Digital will launch a science and technology channel as part of a new documentary channel package option on Premiere World. Also broadcasting on the Premiere World platform for Germany and Austria will be Discovery’s thematic channels Animal Planet, travel channel Der Reisekanal, health channel Der Gesundheitskanal and science channel Der Wissenschaftskanal.
