Merlin Communications has entered into a partnership with the UK Defence Evaluation and Research Agency (DERA) to launch a new service aimed at Asian satellite operators. Born out of 20 years of dedicated research satID is devised to detect and locate unauthorised exploitation of satellite resources and interference resulting from human error or malfunction, providing operators with an opportunity to maintain and enforce the integrity of their satellite communications systems. Merlin will manage the satID system at its telecommunications site in Singapore.
