Trimble Navigation Ltd., [TRMB] the designer of a wide variety of civilian products enabled by Global Positioning System (GPS) technology, has introduced its newest generation receiver, the ACE III GPS Module. The new receiver will consume less than one-half a watt of power and will provide faster signal acquisition in urban canyons and differential GPS accuracies of better than 2 meters.

Trimble’s GPS receivers are used in car navigation, driver information and vehicle security and tracking systems, in timing and instrumentation systems and in wireless consumer devices such as cellular phones, mobile radio and laptop computers.
