Cartoon Network is to launch a new channel featuring classic cartoons from the Hanna-Barbera library. The channel, Boomerang, will start broadcasting on May 27 from 0600-2400. It will be available to all Sky Digital homes. Cartoon Network says that 90 per cent of the material shown will not by duplicated by the main channel. Meanwhile, on June 30 Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will start broadcasting on Astra 1C, replacing the analogue-only TNT. TCM is already available on digital satellite and analogue and digital cable.
