Phillips Business Information, owner of Cable Europe, has unveiled ambitious plans for a major exposition in Paris this autumn. The event will take place from October 30 to November 1 at the Palais de Congres.

Broadband 2000 aims to become Europe’s major showcase for cable, satellite and digital technologies. It will feature three conference streams drawing on the expertise of Phillips as Europe’s leading publisher of newsletters within the broadcasting and new media sector.

Running alongside the conference, an exhibition will provide demos of the latest technologies, and the all-important opportunity to clinch that business deal.

Peter Gaskell, managing director Phillips’ Global Media Group, commented: “Given the increasing convergence between digital technologies, Europe now needs an event to showcase technologies across all the major platforms.”
