Inmarsat Holdings Ltd. has released its first financial results since becoming a private limited company last April. The company reported total revenues for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1999 of $406.2 million. This figure includes revenues earned between January 1999 and April 1999, when the company still existed as an intergovernmental agency. Profits on ordinary activity were reported at $119.4 million before taxes and a provision of $150 million for the diminution in the value the ICO Global Communications investment. After determining that future investment in ICO was not compatible with Inmarsat’s future plans, the company ceased its investment in the satellite telephony service provider.
