TRW Inc. [TRW] has made several changes within its California-based Space & Electronics Group (S&EG):

  • Joanne Maguire is appointed vice president of group development for S&EG. She will oversee all of the group’s business development. She had been vice president and general manager of the Space and Laser Programs Division.
  • Richard Croxall is appointed vice president and chief engineer for S&EG. He will be the group’s lead executive on quality and process-change initiatives. He had been deputy general manager for operations and engineering in the group’s Defense Systems Division.
  • Frederick Ricker succeeds Maguire as vice president and general manager of the Space and Laser Programs Division. The unit is responsible for the management of major space systems for NASA, as well as those for civil, international and commercial space customers. He had been vice president and general manager of S&EG’s Electronics and Technology Division.
  • James Burnett succeeds Ricker in the Electronics and Technology Division position. The division provides electronics engineering, development, manufacturing, integration and test support for S&EG programs. Burnett has held numerous management positions in S&EG.
  • Martin Melnick is appointed vice president and deputy general manager in the Telecommunications Programs Division, a unit that is responsible for the development and production of telecommunication systems and products. Melnick most recently had served as deputy general manager for operations for the division.
  • Craig Staresinich is appointed vice president and program manager of the Defense Systems Division. Staresinich has managed several programs for S&EG, including the Chandra X-ray Observatory.
