Orion Satellite Systems’ Horizon platform has become Horizon AI, bringing AI-powered data forecasting to satellite connectivity to its customers. The company said the next-generation enhancement allows customers to better anticipate and manage their data usage across Low-Earth Orbit (LEO), Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO), and Medium-Earth Orbit (MEO) constellations by leveraging AI-driven forecasting to provide proactive service recommendations. Orion Satellite Systems revealed details of its AI-focused approach, March. 17.

Horizon AI constantly tracks usage patterns and compares them with monthly limits, leveraging advanced predictive analytics to identify emerging trends. By analyzing historical data, it predicts when users might exceed their current allocations. If persistent overages are detected, Horizon AI suggests plan adjustments, ensuring customers avoid extra charges while providing the appropriate data needed for smooth operations.
