Intellian Technologies debuted three new compact flat panel antennas for satellite broadband service on Eutelsat Group’s OneWeb constellation. These active electronically scanned array (ESA) user terminals announced Tuesday are for fixed, land mobility, and maritime service.
These terminals are exclusively for use on the OneWeb LEO network, and Intellian said they are the smallest terminals across the Eutelsat OneWeb portfolio.
The three terminals have the same compact footprint, less than two feet long. The measurements are 22 inches by 17.7 inches by 4.7 inches. All three terminals weigh 26.9 pounds.
The land terminal, OW10HL, is intended for use cases like small enterprise, cellular backhaul, and governments. The land mobility terminal, OW10HV, is intended for use cases like first responders, transportation, agriculture, and forestry. And the maritime terminal, OW10HM, is intended for fishing, leisure, and small vessels.
Intellian did not share the download speeds or price per unit. The terminals are available from authorized resellers. Intelsat confirmed it is an authorized reseller and the terminals are available as part of its FlexMove LEO managed service.
Intellian now has six flat panel antennas available for the OneWeb network. In addition to these three antennas in the OW10 series, there are three in the larger, OW11 series, which weigh about 45 pounds.
Javier Santolaria, senior director of UT Development and Production at Eutelsat OneWeb said the company has received “very positive early reactions from our partners and end users on performance and ease of use.”
Toni Kousiafes, VP ADC Product Management, at Intellian Technologies said these terminals are a “fantastic milestone” for Intellian. “Not only does it demonstrate the advancement of our technological and manufacturing capabilities, but it also heralds a new era of connectivity for Eutelsat OneWeb customers. Flat Panels are what customers want, and I’m excited for customers to get their hands on these exceptional products that are a game-changer across the industry,” Kousiafes said.
