Viasat selected ST Engineering iDirect‘s hub infrastructure to bring Viasat’s satellite connectivity to the energy industry in Brazil. 

According to the deal announced this week, ST Engineering iDirect will supply its next-generation DCR/DBR hub deployed on its Dialog platform. This will benefit Viasat Energy Services customers across a range of use cases, including oil rigs, floating production, storage and offloading supply vessels, and workboat fleets. 

DCR/DBR is a forward-compatible hub infrastructure and that ST Engineering iDirect says lays the foundation for future virtualized, cloud-based services. Viasat previously implemented the iDirect Dialog platform in 2022.
