Gilat Satellite Networks reported that it has recently secured more than $14 million in orders from service providers and system integrators for its in-flight connectivity (IFC) products and solutions.

These include orders for network equipment, solid state power amplifiers (SSPAs), and additional IFC auxiliary products.

Gilat is working to increase its presence in the IFC market and recently announced a deal to acquire aero terminal manufacturer Stellar Blu Solutions. Stellar Blu developed the Sidewinder electronically steered array (ESA) terminal.

“We are proud to be selected by leading satellite operators, service providers and system integrators to supply crucial next-generation technology for IFC services, both through follow-on orders and new business partnerships,” said Hagay Katz, chief product and marketing officer at Gilat.
