Hughes Network Systems will build a Jupiter gateway and provide 1,200 Jupiter terminals to Saudi Arabia service provider Luna Space Telecommunications under a deal announced Thursday. Luna Space is part of the Skyband Holding company. 

Skyband has been a customer of Hughes for more than a decade. The company provides satellite network infrastructure to corporate and government customers in Saudi Arabia. Under the deal, Skyband will migrate its existing network to the Hughes network and expand into new government, financial, and oil and gas markets with software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN).
